Following the successful conclusion of last year’s research contract dedicated to developing new technologies for the elimination of ice formation on aircraft surfaces, the United States Air Force has rewarded ePaint Company with a follow-on contract to continue this important project. The goal of the current research is developing a commercially viable product for military aviation as well as the commercial aviation industry. The research project will again be headed up by Alex Walsh with assistance from staff members Michael Goodwin and Brett Gall. The current project will run through mid-2010. Penn Shade, VP Sales & Business Development, noted that ePaint’s current ice-phobic research represents a viable alternative to the high cost and high environmental impact of current anti-icing/de-icing technologies and could provide a potential boost to the company’s sales in 2011 and beyond.
ePaint Company, located in East Falmouth, MA, is a leader in coatings research.
